GENERAL INFORMATION

CRM (customer relationship management) is application software designed to automate strategies for working with current and potential clients, boost sales, and set up and implement marketing strategies.

PROJECT PARTICULARS

Localizing software is often complicated by a lack of context. Interface texts aren’t linked to each other, with the whole thing very different from something like the user manual. Manuals offer detailed information presented sequentially, while software localization frustrates with fragmented words and phrases that often don’t even add up into sentences. We have to understand if the text we’re translating is a button label, a notification that pops up when a command is completed, instructions for the user, or something else. Ultimately, we were able to overcome that obstacle by working closely with the client, who was happy to answer all our questions.

Another reason for our success was the fact that we maintained the structure of the folders we received using memoQ.

One more tricky issue was that our team had to work with code. The client wasn’t able to send us texts we could translate and have ready for them to use directly from memoQ, and so we had to make sure that all the tags were in the right places for the program to work.
